Artem’s West London backlot became a world of water when our client, Zeb Films, asked us to provide effects for the climate-disaster drama The End We Start From.

Project Details

Starring Jodie Comer, and nominated for 9 BIFA Awards, The End We Start From is the story of a woman as she tries to find her way home with her newborn while an environmental crisis submerges London in floodwaters.

Artem provided heavy rain and wetdowns throughout the film, as well as hot water rigs, steam, and fire.

A large flood effect was tested and filmed on our backlot, where a tank rig was constructed to release water safely down a ramp and through a window of a green screen set, smashing the window and destroying the living room set.
