Take The Shot Productions approached us for the 3rd series of Canadian-American historical drama Frontier to help set the scene for an action-packed battle on Bamburgh Castle beach.
Project Details
We sent a team from our London workshop to join forces with our Glaswegian crew up in Scotland for 2 weeks to work with SFX supervisor, Geoff Hill.
For the Bamburgh beach battle scene, Artem technicians created campfires, burning touches and sand hit mortars to replicate cannon hits on the dunes.
Various rigs were called upon for different scenes, one of which required lead actor, Jason Mamoa (Game of Thrones) to be violently sick. Our team set to task assembling a revolting vomit rig to erupt on cue during the take.
We also created general atmospherics for interior shots, and had fun with a dramatic throat slit for an intense scene..
