Fox’s new advert for the ‘Fox’s Fabulous Chocolatey Milk Chocolate Rounds’ is a soothingly hypnotic paean to the making of their richly indulgent biscuits. Behind the scenes, however, the advert also showcases the numerous processes Artem follows in order to create highly realistic props and innovative rigs for food commercials, films and dramas.

Project Breakdown

Our client, 2AM, commissioned us to create scale and upscale prop copies of the iconic Fox’s biscuit, both with and without its chocolate coating.

We 3D-scanned and printed copies of each version, then moulded and cast out multiple biscuits in a lightweight resin. These were painted and art-worked to match the originals.

Next our technicians created and tested a variety of ‘chocolate’ liquid mixes to achieve a thick creamy consistency for use in the pour and swirl elements of the shoot.

Liquid and props were then brought together on Artem's custom-designed rigs to reproduce the shots required by the client.

R&D and testing of the liquids and rigs were carried out at Artem’s West London facilities and our technicians subsequently attended and supported the client’s location shoot.
