Artem Case Studies

Chameleon Shell

The final character exceeded all expectations and both clients and the production team have been immensely impressed by Artem's expertise, professionalism and the sheer enthusiasm of Chris Martin and his team for the project. The puppet sequences were filmed at Artem's blue screen studio.

Reg Boorer, Executive Producer, The 3R Partnership

The 3R Partnership and Tideline were commissioned by The International Union for the Conservation of Nature to produce a 5 minute introductory film to stress the importance of communications to the biodiversity cause at a major conservation and biodiversity congress in Bangkok, November 2004.

Professor Chameleon was created as the 'voice of the natural world', to speak directly to the 4000 delegates. Initially conceived as an animated clay model, severe time and budget constraints suggested that a puppet, filmed live action (at Artems studio), was the most practical option built by Artems team of special effects technicians utilising all our sculpting, moulding and animatronic skills.

After the congress, the film was distributed to schools around the world by UNESCO, and to government departments in 180 countries. It is also being shown at various conferences around the world throughout 2005.
