Artem Case Studies

Pinocchio Peerless Camera Company

Artem's creative designers and special effects technicians help to bring Roberto Benigni's adaptation of Pinocchio to life. The main action was shot in Italy, but further water elements and atmoshperics were needed to composite into the shots containing the Whale.

A huge set of blacked-out Whales teeth virtually filled Artem's studio space, and vast quantities of water were pumped through them to add to the main shot. Meanwhile, in Artem's backlot, a 60-foot x 20-foot cyclorama was erected, and one of our water cannons was set up to provide the Whales water spout.
