Onsite Facilities at Artem
We have a number of workshops where all our models, props and fabrications are put together, including this large workshop where bigger projects, woodworking, and engineering take place.
Design and Supervision
A large part of what we do is designing solutions to the myriad of challenges our clients come up with. Our office has a dedicated team of supervisors and is also equipped with sophisticated 3D design software.
Artem is equipped with the latest KUKA 7-Axis robot arm, as well as 3D printing, 3 Axis CNC routing, CNC milling machines, lathes and turret mills.
Sculpture and Mouldshop
The sculpture and modelling room is where many projects begin. It is also set up for comfortable and private life casting sessions. The large mould-making workshop is equipped with a powerful extraction system for fibreglass and chopped strand/gelcoat spraying, with a separate plaster area, and self-contained room for foam latex and prosthetics work.
This sophisticated area allows high finishes to be achieved. Its 6m x 4m area has air-fed masks and bake facilities for quick turnarounds, plus a separate paint mixing room with spray gun cleaners and more personal air supplies for health and safety.
Precision machining is in a dedicated room connected to the design office computers, and can cope with almost any task.
Many projects require this facility and the workshop is designed for all our wiring and computer programming needs.
We have a large backlot that can also be used as a car park! It also doubles for testing and assembly space. Many major films have used this facility for miniature and elements shoots. There is also a canopy space, 12m(w) x 18m(l) x 7m(h), that can be enclosed with tarpaulins, drapes or flattage for filming.
Situated in the heart of Glasgow's media quarter servicing Scotland: 3,000 sq ft of fully-equipped, staffed workshops with hire facilities.
