Artem Case Studies

Pepsi Hot Dog Good Films Productions

Artem was approached by Good Film Productions to build a giant hot dog for the new Pepsi commercial in Japan, advertising their new 'Pepsi Special'.

The 6ft long upscale hot dog was sculpted on GeoMagic Touch and then cut out on our in-house KUKA robot arm in dense polystyrene, which could then be moulded and cast in soft foam.

Both the sausage and bun were painted and assembled together on a rig to allow it to be suspended over a train line on the London underground and rolled a distance of 40ft up along the platform.  We also assisted Marcus Wookey (Art Director) by cladding a hired hot dog stand with aluminium- and steel-effect laminate and providing some small smoke and wind effects.

The job really pulled together to produce something that brought a smile to most people who saw it, and the shoot went smoothly despite having to carry all of our pieces down two escalators onto a disused platform!

You can watch the commerical here.
