O2 'Tracks' Pulse Films

Artem made some seriously heavy rain on location at the O2 arena in London's Docklands for a TV campaign promoting O2 'Tracks'.

Running from a 10,000 litre bowser and a hydrant, the three man crew used ground level rain stands and a monsoon rain head attached to a 15m cherry picker to give Emeli Sande, her fans and the press pack a real soaking. The job also called for rain on the windows of a car travelling on public roads. This was achieved with a small roof mounted tank and 12v pump powering water to a simple rotary sprinkler head.

It was a bitterly cold night with ice forming on the equipment so it must have been quite miserable for the people getting rained on!  Luckily they stuck with it and the result can be viewed by clicking here.
